An evolution of the very first Wadesda, a blend of Jambe-de-Bois and Cantillon lambic, making the Wadesda #9 a Tripel Saison: a stronger version of the original Saisons.
She is amber in colour and has those typical characteristics of Lambic: woody with a strong funky nose of Brettanomyces, with quince and fallen apples. This is followed by white flowers, old kirsch and persimmon, and even a hint of curry leaves. A very winey character, as it should be! All of this blends perfectly with the classic aromas of tripels, like pears and bananas. Her strong alcohol percentage enhances her vinous qualities and gives a certain roundness to a finale that is quite dry and almost mineral.
Intoxicating and complex, but refreshing and drinkable!

330 ml bottle purchased at Brasserie de la Senne - Zenne Bar in Brussels, Belgium. BOT:23JUN23, BBD:23JUN27. The pour is a clear golden with a ton of fine carbonation bubbles that build up a foamy egg white head that is lasting. The aroma is the Cantillon tart citrus and house yeast, along with a really engaging floral softness. The taste is a soft floral Saison, wheat grain, and just a touch of the Cantillon Lambic that integrates really nicely just below the Saison character. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and the floral yeast tart citrus dry finish. Whisper of funk as it warms, adding character. This was one of the best beers I have had in a long while.

Bottle from Hop Burns and Black, enjoyed in front of the rugby. Lovely golden amber with a sturdy white head. Nose of apricot, apples, grape. Light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sour at the finish. Light body for the ABV, prickly lively carbonation, slightly astringent. Tart sourness lingers. Gentle warmth in the belly after. Complex and interesting.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dull amber with moderate head. Aromas of Brett, cottony fruit, pears and dry wheaty malts. Flavors of pears, citrus, and sharp wheaty malts. Tangy. Very farmhouse and refreshing.

330mL bottle, BBD 23JUN27, drunk 06JUN25.
Good clarity. Brassy-golden. Small, but thick, white head.
Good sacch and brett in the nose, with the sacch a bit more prominent, actually. Light lactic acidity and decent malt structure, though I'm getting a bit of powdered sugar/saccharine in the nose (very light, but definitely there).
Juicy acidity with soft malts and light honey to balance. No big acid, nor any biting lactic character. No acetic. Mild, fruity brett and lots of sacch with lingering zesty acidity. Great malt depth and pretty good attenuation, though I could use a bit more dryness. Interesting and fun stuff, as usual per the series, but that light powdered sugar note is annoying. Probably just needed more time in the bottle. Will revisit.

Bottle pour at Quintessence 2025. Pours clear gold with a white head. Gentle funk on the nose. Flavour has floral yeast, a bit of esters, some barnyard must. Not bad.

Bottle at 'f Hof van beroep. Brugge. Cloudy orange gold colour lasting cream head. Lambic aroma with something else some malt. I mean it has the sour of the lambic bit then the sweetness of the tripel. It's excellent. I love the aroma and the flavour. Bit fizzy. Lambic comes through as is orange candied fruits. It's a good mix

Bottle shared at RJ's. Big funk, citrus notes, light esters, peppery phenols too, mid-high acidity.
