An evolution of the very first Wadesda, a blend of Jambe-de-Bois and Cantillon lambic, making the Wadesda #9 a Tripel Saison: a stronger version of the original Saisons.
She is amber in colour and has those typical characteristics of Lambic: woody with a strong funky nose of Brettanomyces, with quince and fallen apples. This is followed by white flowers, old kirsch and persimmon, and even a hint of curry leaves. A very winey character, as it should be! All of this blends perfectly with the classic aromas of tripels, like pears and bananas. Her strong alcohol percentage enhances her vinous qualities and gives a certain roundness to a finale that is quite dry and almost mineral.
Intoxicating and complex, but refreshing and drinkable!

Bottle at home, from HOTM online, 25/09/24. Almost clear golden orange, carbonation evident, topped with a good sized just off white head. Nose is funk, grass, herb, green berry must, lemon rind, yeast esters. Taste comprises sharp fruits, grass, hedgerow, funk, yeast esters, light booze, vinous, wood must, grape skins, light acidic bite. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Solid flavoursome saison.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Caps and Taps. Pours clear honey-gold, lightly effervescent, with a modest, foamy white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with moderate salinity, nice pale bread, orange peel, mild citric acidity, a little grapefruit, minima funk, pale oak. Medium bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Fairly dry to finish, slightly warming, more citric tang, pale bread, salty bite. Great stuff.

bottle. fruity leathery note, good balance, somewhat sourish beer is hinted, low on spicy saison yeasty notes for a saison , but it's there. flavor is leathery, horse blanket, teeth cleansing sensation, flowery, quite complex, sweet herbs, the excellent sourness from the cant. lambic. in fact the saison adds character, but does not destroy the lambic. this is good stuff.

Tight off white head on an finely carbonated unclear amber coloured body. Earthy, tart & funky aroma. Medium bodied, foamy dry & sticky on the back. Citrus, funky, oak & tannic tastes with a tart finish. Interesting - Tasty.

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy amber body with an off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of rhubarb, sea salt and bitter lemon. Flavour of lemon and grapefruit. Medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. Bright and zingy.

Hazy golden beer, solid white head. Smells tart and yeasty, with wood and a little bready quality. Flavour has the same qualities. Some citrus tartness up front, bready again, sour apple, something light and herbal. This is punchy and crispy, with sourness but not overwhelmingly so. A really good saison with a mix of tart fruit and a herbal woodiness lingering throughout.

Flaska från Etre Gourmet. Disig gyllengul vätska med högt fluffigt skum. Funkig lambic doft, krispig och livlig, lätt syrlig, fruktig sötma, med apelsinzest, persika, äpplen. Fatlagrad saison Mosel större med pigg frisk lambic i skön skön förening. Lätt som en frisk saison, pigg lambic, bra kropp och stort smakdjup i väldigt drickvänlig form. Wow! Så gott
