An evolution of the very first Wadesda, a blend of Jambe-de-Bois and Cantillon lambic, making the Wadesda #9 a Tripel Saison: a stronger version of the original Saisons.
She is amber in colour and has those typical characteristics of Lambic: woody with a strong funky nose of Brettanomyces, with quince and fallen apples. This is followed by white flowers, old kirsch and persimmon, and even a hint of curry leaves. A very winey character, as it should be! All of this blends perfectly with the classic aromas of tripels, like pears and bananas. Her strong alcohol percentage enhances her vinous qualities and gives a certain roundness to a finale that is quite dry and almost mineral.
Intoxicating and complex, but refreshing and drinkable!

Bottle from Raynville. It pours hazy pale orange with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is bright, zingy, sherbety, deep funk, barnyard, hay, dry oak, vinous, lambic, orangey fruits, fermenting apricot & peach, mango, granny smith apple skin and a touch of minerality. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, puckering, zingy, lambic, funky, barnyard, tannin, damp hay, light cereal, spice, granny smith, gooseberry, lemon - lime, vibrant, orange peel, orange wine, dry oak, hay and light alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Lovely depth of flavour and Hugh drinkability. Great stuff.

Dark blond colour with lasting head. It's so intense. Sharp lemony citric Lambic but also yeasty spicy notes. Floral, peppery. Then tangy grape.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy bright golden orange with a small white head. Aroma reveals gentle lambic funk, some rustic saison yeast, and some musty earthiness. Flavour is quite funky, with lots of spicy, rustic saison yeast, bitter citrus zest, moderate funk, and some earthiness. Rather crunchy, bitter, rustic, and spicy, with perhaps slightly poorer clarity than desired. But overall, very nice.

A blend of Tripel and Cantillon geuze, more farmhouse ale than their Saison de la Senne (which I thought was more geuze than saison). Pretty good!

Bouteille 33cl, BB 23/06/2027, bottled 23/06/2023.
