Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 29A: strawberries / base: 28D). Can 50 cl - Batch 21872 (BB: 23.07.2026). AROMA: medium-high strawberry aroma with a medium sour background. APPEARANCE: reddish pink body and hazy-opaque. medium-low very light pink head, with medium-low retention. TASTE: initial medium-low to low strawberry flavor with a medium to medium-low sour background and slight grains. medium-low to low bitterness with an almost dry and yeasty finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low to low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a sour ale with a bit more muted fruit flavor with the sourness coming forward.

Nagy, tartós, halványrózsaszín hab, opálos, rózsaszín test. Epres, élesztős illat. Savanykás, epres, élesztős ízek. Könnyű, enyhén szénsavas, nem keserű. Kissé túl könnyű, épp hogy nem vizes.

Keg @ The Bell Inn, Oswestry. Pours a hazed dull muddy red, white foamy head. Aroma of strawberry mush. Smooth palate, thick strawberry coming through but not especially sharp, sweet, sour or fruity.. lacking a good clarity of flavour, relying on the natural fruit of the strawberry but coming across a bit messy, such is the inherent problem of using strawberries in beer.
