Mitten im heißen Sommer wird der Eisbergbock bei minus 20 Grad ausgefroren. In den ersten frostigen Nächten des Herbstes findet dieses außergewöhnliche Eisbier dann seinen Weg in die Flasche. Bestens geeignet zur Einlagerung!

Verkostungsnotiz
Intensives kupferrot, beigefarbener Schaum. Der Duft erinnert an Waldhonig, reife Zwetschken, etwas Tonkabohne und darunterliegend an Blockmalz und Apfelkompott. Am Gaumen durchaus wuchtig mit süße-herbe Spiel und weicher Kohlensäure. Im Ausklang dann elegante Malznoten am Gaumen, die mit Anklängen an Kräuterbitter zu einem spannend trockenen Gesamteindruck zusammenfinden. Ein massiver Eisbock mit Reifungspotenzial, der durch seine gute Trinkbarkeit trotz 11,5% Vol. sicherlich auch tückisch sein kann.

330mL bottle, pours a dirty dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma is full on oxidation: tons of cardboard, some dark fruits, light toffee. Flavour has a surprising lack of character, with bready malt, oxidation, a hint of toffee, but really, there’s not much depth or character here, especially for an 11% eisbock. Inoffensive but frustratingly underwhelming.

330mL bottle. Pours clear deep gold with a whiteish head. Lots of cardboard and stale bread crusts on the nose. Flavour has fermented wheat, cardboard, soggy old bread crusts. Boozy, but lacking any distinct character. Not very good.

Klar bernsteinfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger Geruch nach Karamell und Toffee. Geschmacklich malzig, fruchtig nach Karamell, Toffee und Trockenfrüchten. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer bis voller Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

gift from kapusil - many thanks, my friend! opalescent orange-ish amber colour, minimal ecru-ish head; aroma of toffee, honeycomb toffee, dried apricot and pear, soy sauce, dried figs, slight anise and canned apple notes; taste is quite similar to the aroma with some salty-leather-like, as well as burnt sugary-syrupy notes and spicy alcohol in the aftertaste; really good one!

0.25l bottle. Slightly opaque amber body with a thin white head and lots of floating sediment. Aroma and taste of caramel, orange zest, figs, dates, sweet apples and some burnt sugar. Thick bodied. Nice dessert beer.

Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, caramel, dried fruit, medium bitter, light sweet. Medium to full body, malty fruity bitter sweet finish. Ok.

Bottle at ABC. Hazy dark orange golden with off-white head. Aroma of caramel, candies, fruity esters. Taste si caramelly, estery, candis, dried fruits, warming alcohol. Good.

25cl bottle. A clear amber beer with a white lacing. Aroma of strong caramelized malt, wood, some bourbon. Taste of strong caramelized malt, ripe fruis, wood, raisins, sticky finish.

Alkoholischer, trocken alkoholischer Beginn. Leichte Süße die mit der Zeit ansteigt, milde Herbe, rund. Weich, mittellanger karamelliger Abgang. 10/8/8/12/10
