Bottle at home, golden beer, small head. Aroma is malt, honey, grass, some dough. Taste is the same, sweet, malt, herbal, honey, grass, nice one.

Clear golden. Aroma is grassy feinwürzig hops light dough. Taste is good malty sweetness with a decent bitter backbone. Some slightly metallic/woody/mossy aftertaste. Quite full bodied with low carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle. Clear dark gold featuring a proper white head. Aroma of malts, straw and honey with herbal and earthy hops. Taste of malts, grass, honey, straw, herbal and earthy hops and alcohol. Somewhat meaty and spicy. Moderate grainy bitterness. Medium carbonation. What can I say? Maibocks are neither subtle nor the discerning gentleman‘s drink of choice but they are my guilty pleasure. Even if they are too boozy and generally mediocre like this one.

clear golden colour, half inch of creamy white head; aroma and taste of grainy-maty-bready, herbal, some floral and hints on fruity (apple-like) notes; correct one

0,5 l bottle. Clear golden in the glass, nearly two finger white head. Looks really good. Low pale malty aroma, little bit grassy. Taste starts smooth intensive grainy, some floral elements in the background. Increasing dry malty. Mid bitterness. One of the better Heller Bocks.

Störtebeker Frühlings-Bock, Flasche von Edeka, Lankwitz. - Helles Rotgold, blank. (20.3.2024.)

0.5 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before January 2025. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, malty slightly fruity-floral aroma of honey, lemon peel, fresh grass and light grains. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity-floral taste of grains, honey, lemon peel and some fresh grass, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant, well-balanced Bock, nicely hoppy and fresh. Quite good for the style, reliable Störtebeker quality.
