Quite clear, deep amber brown body with practicaly no head. Strong aroma of dark malt, dry fruit, caramel, oak, vinous alcohol and chocolate. Taste is moderate sweet, dark malt, mild roast, dry fruit, toffee, chocolate, wood, whisky sour, port and some bitternes. Balance body with long lasting aftertaste. Nice, tasty and pretty solid BW.

7/12/2024. Bottle bought direct from the Brewery. Pours close to black with a short lasting beige head. Aroma is woody, whiskey, chocolate, caramel, roasted malt, dried fruits, vanilla. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness, very slight whiskey sours. Medium body, smooth but a little thinner than expected, soft carbonation. Nice boozy finish. Liked this.
Uklar brun med brunt skum som daler fort. Aroma eik whisky rosin alkohol malt lakris mandel. Smak eik whisky plomme lakris alkohol malt sjokolade mandel. Fyldig, smaksrik, soft, kraftig, servert litt for kald. Flaske kjøpt på TM og delt med Synny

Uklar Mørk brun med ekstremt kort, rødbrun topp. Aroma; Sjokolade, plomme, lakris, whisky, malt, eik, mandler, Smak; Eik, whisky, lakrisrot, mørk sjokolade, malt, rosiner, mandler, Chili (eller annen spicy frukt) kommer sigende i ettersmak. Myk i munnfølelse, fyldig, lang kraftig ettersmak. (Servert litt for kald) Delt med Leif.

Almost clear but very deep brown beer, no head, which is off no great surprise, the bottle was silent on opening. Smooth palate, slightly viscous, precious little carbonation. Quite a savoury barleywine this, spicy and savoury. Rich ripe whiskey soaked fruits. Touch of marmite. Speyside caramelised fruits before an alcohol spicy finish. A bit flat and a bit savoury but entertainingly rich.

Bottle. Color: Almost black, no head. Aroma: Sweetish, caramel, toffee, vanilla. Taste: Medium sweet, moderate bitterness. Toffee, caramel, Whiskey, some oak wood, heather, almonds. Notes of raisins, dark dried fruit. Almost no carbonation. Over medium to full body. Nice one but would benefit from some more carbonation.
