750ml bottle [8.0%, 2019]. Cloudy, dark amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Wheaty maity, oaky, aroma, notes of banana, caramel. Taste is dry oaky, sweetish wheaty, malty, notes of caramel, banana. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, creamy carbonation. Balanced, harmonious - very nice.

Fläschla (750ml, als Bavarian Ale, Barrel Aged 2019, 8.0%): Hazy to cloudy, deep golden with a reddish sheen, smaller loose white head, distinctive woody and vinous nose, caramel and a certain fruity/tannic acidity underneath; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, accompanied by the same certain acidity, medium to full bodied, a bit harsh; lingering fruity-vinous and tannic finish, some hoppy illusions in the aftertaste. A very vinous Bier...

0,75 l bottle from Beer Supreme, Oldenburg. Hazy amber in the glass, one fine pale beige head. Intensive barrel wood smell. Taste can not really convince. Wine barrel, some low malt, little bit sourness, getting dry in the second part. Hints of wheat and yeast in the second row. Expected way more.

Sampled from 0.75 l bottle from 'Flaschenfreund', best before October 2019. Slightly hazy, amber with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly yeasty-spicy, vinous and gently fruity aroma of banana, clove, citrus and red wine. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, vinous, slightly yeasty-spicy and moderately fruity taste of banana, clove, red wine, some wood and a touch of citrus, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little tart, a bit yeasty-spicy and gently vinous finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay, expected more to be honest.

Sehr trockener, leicht säuerlicher Beginn. Etwas getreidig, spritzig, die Holznoten wirken künstlich. Vollmundig, mittellanger Nachhall. Naja... 10/10/8/7/8/8
