660ml bottle [A very big thanks to Aziz for another piece filling the West African puzzle!]. Clear, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, white head. Quite expressionless, strawy aroma, a touch of grainy spiciness. Taste is grassy-strawy, minimally metallic, dry hints of green apple parings; bitter finish, lively carbonation. Simple, straightforward, refreshing even in temperate zones.

630ml bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, Dec 15, brought all the way back from Benin by Clement! Merci! Pours bright clear gold, foam head. Grassy aroma. Taste was surprisingly not that bad. Clean and perfectly drinkable, if grassy and slightly unremarkable. For what it is and where’s it’s brewed I could happily drink a few of these.

63cl Bottle: shared between 5 at the December 2015 meeting of the Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group or whatever we call ourselves. Cheers Mat and his extended family for this new country tick for us all. Nice enough Lager actually, clear and bright golden look with the usual white fading head on top. Semi-sweet flavour with some grass and gain notes in both the aroma and taste. Would never have guest this came from Africa.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland Saturday Session 1 - 01/03/14. Big up the country tick ! Pale blonde with thin white edgeing. Nose is papery, musty, straw, dull! Taste comprises light citric notes, straw, paper. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Meh !

Bottle. It pours a clear, pale golden beer topped by a minimal sized white head. Grainy pale malts, some fruityness and a hint of pine cones in the aroma. Grass too actually. Medium to thin on the palate, with a soft carbonation. Some bitterness in the flavor, but it’s mostly grainy and fruity. Short finish. Bet it sort of works in the heat, but I’d like more bitterness, more taste and less grainy aromas and flavors. 140301
