No head, deep dark pour. Aroma is sweet boozy, dark sugar, dark chocolate, old rope, bourbon, dark malts, dried dark fruits, vanilla, cough syrup, oak, licorice, bark. Taste is slightly sweet mineraly, dark sugar, cough syrup, minerals, oak, dark chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, sweet licorice, dried dark fruits, bark, soil, dark malts, booze, hints of citrus peel. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle. Color: Black, thin light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, red wine hints. Taste: Medium sweet roasted malt, notes of chocolate, hints of slightly sourish red wine. Warming mouthfeel. Light hints of liquorice. Light Bourbon notes, boozy hints. Moderate bittterness. Over medium body, below average carbonation. I liked the Mexican and Tahitian vanilla ones far better. Don't know whether this beer is meant to taste like this, with the red wine hints… Infection?

Bottle at taptap. Pours black. Aroma is sweet, vanilla, roast, malt, buttery, booze. Flavor is sweet and bitter, a lot of barrel, malt, roast, slight sourness, buttery notes, booze. Overall: liked the regular version, but this is barrel ruined.

(On tap @ Mikkeller Viktoriagade, Oct 27/18) Pours black with a small whitish head. Notes of sweet dark caramel and toffee, chocolate candy bar, dark malt with light roast, sweetish bourbon, wet oak, toasty roast, vanilla cream, slight hint of dry fruit. Finish is semi-sweet with burnt wood, toast, chocolate, lingering bourbon. Soft medium-full mouthfeel with light carbonation and no alcohol. Smooth albeit sweet imp stout, balanced barrel, quite drinkable and by the numbers.

Draught @ Mikkeller Tap Takeover, Brewdog Helsinki. Pours pitch black with a tiny brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, licorice, loads of bourbon, wood, vanilla, oak, toffee, syrup and burnt leather. Taste is smooth, slick and sweetish with some roastiness, licorice, bourbon, wood, oak and vanilla, hints of syrup. Finish is woody, oily and slick with some burnt roastiness, licorice, bourbon, oak, vanilla and cocoa. Quite nicely balanced, smooth and complex bourbon BA IS.
