''Nettles are fierce, invasive and they sting! They are also a wonderful ingredient, with a herbaceous flavour and a zesty tang. Being a close cousin of the hop, they make a wonderful beer" (Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall).
We're proud to collaborate with with Hugh and the River Cottage team and use our organic beer to inspire change!

440ml can from River Cottage. Pours a very lively yellow with a very large white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of lemon, grass & herbs. Moderate body. Light bitter finish. Enjoyable, more lager than pale ale

440ml can. Slightly hazed golden, huge dense white head. Aroma is herbaceous, grassy, citrusy. Taste is herbaceous and grassy, zesty, citrus, light sweetness but ends pretty dry. Light bodied. Can says it'll be tingly and I guess it is but I think that might just be the somewhat high carbonation - which works here. Not such depth of flavour but an interesting and enjoyable one.

Can. Nose is yeasty, lemon, hedgerow. Taste is lemon, yeasty, bitter grass, hedgerow, (I am assuming nettle - but its 10 years+ since I've had nettle home brew), ,dry woody, raspberry leaf, bitter herbal finish. It's OK, and has a lot that reminds me of experimental home brews I've had with various bits of garden ephemera. Would be interesting with brett. I don't love it though.
