Tap at Basqueland Brewing, Hernani, in the Basque Country. Black-brown with a very brown head. Full-bodied pastry stout, with its style very evident as its strength is well hidden in taste - although less so in aroma. Has sweet roasted notes.

Color marrón oscuro, opaca, forma una pequeña cantidad de espuna color canela de corta retención. Aroma a bizcocho de chocolate y nueces pecanas con un toque de licor. En boca es densa, muy dulzona, amargor bajo, poca nota torrefacta, licorosa, calienta boca y garganta. A escasos milímetros de resultar empalagosa, mejor para fumadas largas y con calma, buena para maridar con un puro que sea rico en notas terrosas y de pimienta negra.

200ml draught at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri. Shared with djoeye at Basqueland Brewing TTO. Coal black body, crocheted lacing, bubbles on the surface. Soft chocolate aromas, smoothly roasted. Sweet taste of milk chocolate added by a spicy touch. Welcome roasted chocolate bitterness to the ending. Okay sipper.(Tromsø, 17.09.2024).

Zwart bier met mooie bruine schuimkraag. Smaak is warm en krachtig bitterzoet met iets van kokos, wat chocolade en vanille. Heel rijke en volle smaak die iets minder zoet zou mogen zijn.

Way too sweet for me, was expected from an imp pastry stout, but didn’t expect this much. Chocolate, thick, sweeet.

Tap at Taphouse, Copenhagen (23/02/2024) - Dark sweet and lightly roasted malty with opulent chocolate, dark and milky sweet chocolate mix, some caramel and fudge like sweetness, full bodied, some cinnamon spice into the think chocolate malty finish. Solid pastry action here.
