Aus der Flasche (bbe 01.12.2021) im 2024-12 getrunken. Diese Stout erinnert an Aussehen und Aromen an verflüssigte Schokolade. Am Gaumen kommt eine deutliche Chili-Schärfe dazu, die aber perfekt ausbalanciert ist. Klasse!

2021 bottle (Cellars Bentleigh). Black, a tan head is soon gone (I blame the wax). Aroma is roasty with cake dough, dried fruit that's presumably the Guajillo, some grapey and overtly chilli notes. Syrupy, low carbonation. Rich bread, cake and mocha with rumbling dried and slightly smokey chilli. After a long while, there's a lilting bitterness. And a while after that just a little heat. Never seems quite as heavy as >14%. Very good.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, roasted, meaty, liquorice, taste is similar, bitter, quite fiery.
