Single hopped Australian pale ale. A new beer fom the team here at Thornbridge “Galaxia”. The name might suggest it’s from the stars but it refers to this being a single hopped pale ale – a beer brewed to showcase the Australian hop variety Galaxy.
Caolan Vaughan our resident antipodean says ”Using our fantastic pale ale recipe allows this stunning hop to transform this beer into a pleasurable experience in a glass - one for all hop lovers”. The Galaxy hop imparts striking beautiful aromas of mango, guava and grapefruit. While providing an intensely tingling bitter finish. ABV changed from 5.2 to 4.5 in 2017.

On tap at Tapped, Leeds. Almost clear golden, small white head. Very dry, light citrus hoppiness. Sweet with some bitterness in finish. Light bodied.

On tap at the Thornbridge Bar, Den Bosch, Netherlands, Tuesday 26th September 2017, we ate here as well and the food was very decent. Pours lemony gold with a slim white head and a slight haze. Refreshing beer, the hops and bitterness are turned down a little bit here, it's essentially a nice lightly hoppy golden, nice light fruity beer, good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Draught@Little Pub, Vaasa (backlog). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grassy, floral, some herbs and mild spicy notes with some sweet malts to it as well. Flavour is very similar, with a quite crisp maltiness and also a nice bitter bite to the finish of it.

Keg at The Stockbridge Tap. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head that fades. Steady carbonation. Very faint lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, lime zest and vine tomatoes. Flavour of lemon, melon and minerals. Thin body with an oily texture. Light fizz. Incredibly refreshing - more crisp and citric than I was expecting for a Galaxy-hopped beer. I could drink a lot of this.

[5/16/16] Draught at Taphouse in Copenhagen. Pale yellow. Aroma of "green" hops, a bit fruity, a bit vegetal, and graininess. Dry flavor, grainy, with bitterish hops. Light-bodied.
