Caramel brown with a huge foamy head that lingered and left good lacing. Aroma was sweet with caramel, candied fruit and pineapple. Flavor was sweet candied fruit, pineapple, tobacco, caramel and booziness. Long finish. Moderately full bodied

12 oz can purchased at Fair State Brewing Cooperative in Minneapolis, Minnesota, The pour is a clear amber copper with a one inch light tan foamy head. Falls slow. The aroma is caramel toffee, sweet malt, a bit of tinny metallic and floral honey. The taste is big full toffee malt, dry floral, some honey and finishes with integrated warming alcohol. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and the warming malt sweet finish. Nice Barley Wine.

On tap at Stone Arch MSP. Pours a clear copper with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has bread and sweet grains with a bit of caramel and toffee underlying. Flavor has bread and caramel with a touch of grass, caramel and toffee underlying.

The subdued aromas are toffee, floral hops and a bit of caramel. Flavors are similar to nose, floral comes out a little more along with some citrus and resin, a hint metallic. No sign of alcohol. Decent body, bittersweet finish. Not bad.
