Bottle at home, from HOTM online, 17/02/24. Black with a decent enough khaki cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is coffee bean, charr, dark malts, spice, chocolate, cherry skins. Taste comprises mellow roast, toasted brown sugars, charr, dark malts, spice, kiss of liquorice, coffee cake, subtle cherry tang. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Solid flavoursome kit. Fuck me ... Even Phil and Marduk enjoyed this one!!!

0,33l bottle from a friend, shared @ Vaihia. Pours very dark brown with a low head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts with coffee and cherries. Flavor is sweet roasted malts, coffee, cherries, hops. Tasty.

Black beer, tan head. Smells of fruit and coffee. Flavour has coffee, sweet fruit, toasty malt, chocolate, a bit of booze. Rich and absolutely delicious with a sweet and warming finish.

Bottle picked up from Beyond Beer Webshop, Hamburg and consumed in Frank at Camping Resort Bayerwald, Nr Waldkirchen Saturday 10th February 2023 after a 16-17km loop hike that took in Saußbachklamm a beautiful river gorge walk, we also visited Penninger Distillery. Listening to Maserati - Rehumanizer. Pours black with a creamy head that soon disappeared. Coffee initially with chocolate but I also rather bizarrely am picking up coconut, thick mouthfeel, nice tang, nice aroma, the whole Inpy Porter v Impy Stout debate that we had in Oxford many years ago with many Ratebeerians is playing in my head now, oh yes coffee as well. * Actually just thought that I should add, getting Tonka bean as well

330ml bottle. Pours jet black with a small head. Aroma is fruity coffee, tonka and dark chocolate. Taste has fruity coffee throughout with a tonka and chocolate finish.

33cl bottle from Sip, Tallinn. Pours pitch black with a rather modest, tanned head. Smooth roasty aroma with notes of dark chocolate, coffee and hints of dark, dried fruits. Sweet, smooth and slightly warming with well integrated alcohol and surprisingly balanced flavours. Certainly a nice one - will probably pick up more bottles both for drinking fresh and some for storage.
