I’ve been plenty satisfied with Big Belly quadrupels in the past. This 33 cl bottle was delivered by Smaakhuis early this year, now ready to be opened and sampled. My Chimay glass is ready and waiting for a pour after I get some of the dip wax stripped away. Super dark mahogany brown body and a thin light tan skim of foam that is seeing some help from a steady charge of carbonation. The nose reflects a significant adjunct infusion, I detect chocolate, stewed prunes and vanilla. Same with the taste, anything quadrupel is pushed to the back. Chocolate and vanilla, red fruit, coconut, candy, some malt, medicine and baked bread. A dessert quad. My least favorite of the Big Belly flavored-up quadrupels I have tried. But I don’t mind adventure.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Dark brown, mid sized head. Aroma of coconut, coconut and coconut. Very sweet with full body and rounded, syrupy mouthfeel. Tastes like syrup filled with coconut, coconut and more coconut. One of the most lopsided beers in history.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ Petalax 🇫🇮 Virtual Tasting ] - fonefan & Brugmansia House. 🏡 💻👀
[ As Big Belly Liquid Desserts 13 Red Velvet Coconut Christmas Cake Quadruple ].
ABV: 12.0%. Clear dark dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, sweet malt, cake, chocolate, coconut. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, coconut, chocolate, sweet malt, dark malt, cake. IMO: to sweet and not really me ! Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240424]

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een medium schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gedroogd rood fruit en caramel. De smaak is vol, gebrande mout, rood fruit en zacht cocos achtig. --- Beer merged from original tick of Liquid Christmas Red Velvet Coconut Christmas Cake Quad on 30 Dec 2021 at 19:55 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8.

12th October 2022 Almost opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head that doesn't persist for long. Palate is light and semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, a little creamy sweetness and mild dark chocolate, nothing like as much as you might expect from an Imperial Stout. A little chocolate syrup marries well with the coconut and the vanilla does make for a nice Red Velvet vibe. The back end finds some softly boozy ripe fruits, almost like it had some barrell aged treatment. Light finish brings it all together with the coconut coming to the fore. Very nice job. It's light and crisp and bloody quaffable and it delivers it's cake pastry vibe with aplomb.
