Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a rough, beige head. Tart, unclean aroma with some Bourbon in the end. Rich, sweet roast, some whiskey heat but again very unclean probably from a bad barrel. Warming alcohol finish. 010225

Bottle at home from Meny, Valby 28/09/2024 Dark sweet and lightly roasted malty with notes of cocoa, coffee, some liquorice, dark toffee and caramel, oak, some dried fruit shred, brown sugar sprinkle, medium bodied, vanilla and bourbon coalesce into the warming lingering malty finish.

Bottle. Black, small beige head. Wood, bourbon, licorice and choc aroma. Boozy licorice flavour, bitter, woody with a solid dose of raisins in the finish. Balance tips towards black barley wine rather than imp stout.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). pitch black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is inky, some toffee alcohol and mild alcohol and glue to it. Flavour is floral, inky, alcohol some mild liquorice and quite chocolate syrupy tones. Rather boozy.

Bottle.Black colour with small head.Aroma of oak and vanilla taste more like a American barely wine then a stout flavour of barrel and dark drid fruit feels buzzy and heavy finish.

Bottle, 12.4%. Distinct vanilla aroma with acidic notes. Almost black colour, seems clear, with a tinge of brown. Very small light brown head. The flavour has a distinct vanilla note along with a good acid note. Tastes like red wine barrels to me. Good bitterness, but not too strong. Some warming alcohol in the finish.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with stable tan head. Clear aroma of malt and barrel, with touches of yeast and dried fruit, and hints of vanilla. Bitter flavour of hops with notes of barrel and vanilla, and touches of roast, malt, yeast, and fruit. Dry and roasty aftertaste with barrellike notes and estery touches. Warming alcohol presence. Tasty, satiating and potent. Good work, Fanø.
