A small batch BA tart saison, made up of two batches of barrel fermented wort from 2020 and 2021. Both batches were fermented on locally grown blackberries, blackcurrants and gooseberries before blending and bottling. The resulting beer is light and refreshing with fruity acidity and a soft oak character.

28/12/2023. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours almost clear pinkish amber with a few small bubbles. Aroma is woody, orange, gooseberry, citrus, yeast, herb. Lovely dry and tart taste with some fruity sweetness. A little salty edge. Medium body, average carbonation. Astringent finish. Enjoyable.

750ml bottle from Craft & Berry. Golden amber colour, no head and aroma of wood, oak, fruit, citric rind. Taste is tangy, tart, sour, lemon rind, currants, gooseberry, oaky barrel notes, woody, with some light bitterness. Medium bodied, low carbonation, sour finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle, picked up at the brewery. Pours slightly gloopy. Sits a dull lifeless deep gingery orange. No head. Some phenolic notes up front. Some indiscernible fruit. Bit of wood. Taste is tart and lightly bitter. Thin and watery with low carbonation. Thin finish. Wow.
