This special bottling of 10th anniversary Massive was aged in W.L. Weller Bourbon Barrels for an extended time. This rare beer has layered depths of aroma, with notes of sweet fruit, cocoa nibs and caramel, a deep ruby color and rich malt flavor. Enjoy the richness and intensity of barley wine years and years and year more of aging.

Bottle split at the Level 6 Xmas Bash, thanks to the Wingmane, 15/12/22. Dark mahogany brown with a beige cap that dissipates edgewards. Nose is caramel, dark malts, fruit cake mix, raisins, toffee. Taste comprises dried fruit rinds, sultanas, spice, barrel tones, molasses. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced punch of alcohol. Tidy sipper but not the best work I've experienced from Gigantic.

Bottle shared in Canary Wharf - cheers to Dave. Pours unclear brown with a small, foamy beige head. Medium to big sweet flavour with notes of stewed fruits, booze, vanilla, caramel, bourbon, mild earthy bitterness, piney accents. Full bodied, lightly oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, well toasted malts, aged caramel, more stewed fruits, ripening berries, golden raisins. Great stuff, well rounded.

50cl pours with a amber colored body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up caramel, malts, a touch of cracker and soft bourbon. The taste delivers a smooth malt infused bourbon booziness. To midway it picks up a bit of sweet caramel like reduced sugars. This creates a nice full palate as well as depth and balance.

Xmas Boozy Bottleshare. Thanks to Wingman. Semi opaque amber brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, light and semi dry, good fine carbonation. Light malts, a lovely light creamy sweetness with modest but pleasing caramel. Smooth bourbon, rich and fruity and spicy. Some savoury bourbon on the spicy semi dry finish. Spicy linger. Really good boozy barleywine.
