Iced Saison, aged for many years in wine casks, gives you the taste of concentrated ice-distillation. This allows all of the flavours to be preserved and intensified. Produced in association with Landcraft distillery, who have distilled the same beer as the base and created a 3-year barrel-aged Saison distillate.

Bottle picked up from Zichovec Webshop. Had this at home Thursday 22nd May 2025, listening to Deb Grant and Tom Ravenscroft, New Music Fix on 6Music. We had Gnocchi with Smoked Ham, Peas and Tarragon for tea. Pours dark brown with absolutely no head, not clear. Beef stock on the nose, also boozy on the nose. It's sweet in the mouth, also bitter, but heavy and cloying, I'm not quite sure about this, I really wouldn't know that it's a massively ramped up Saison, it just tastes like a big boozy mess. I really like Zichovec but this is a swerve for me, I won't finish it.

Tap at Beergeek Bar, don't recall if I need to thank someone or myself anymore, hah! Hazy brow-red body, off-white head. Dusty prunes and raisins in the aroma, somewhat leathery. Dry, bitter taste, raisins dominate everything, big warmth, rough bitterness, the alcohol is fairly well hidden for 18%, fairly. Fine enough, and extremely glad they did this experiment and that I've tried it, but did I enjoy it much? Not as much as I'd hoped.The saison bit was quite lost.
