Based on our original Porter & Stout Porter recipes developed a decade ago, The Brother Sean brings together the traditions of two great brewing nations, Belgium and the United Kingdom. A robust base of English grown, malted and kilned barley is fermented with an expressive Belgian yeast. The result is a bold, complex beer with layer upon layer of roasted coffee, chocolate and dark fruit notes, balanced with delicate spice aromas and a full, rounded body.
Enjoy this beer fresh as a toast to our first 10 years, or age it throughout the next.

Keg at The Hope, Carshalton ... where's your fucking beer festival ? 29/11/24. Light black with a khaki head that clears to a swirl. Nose is dark malts, spice, herb, aniseed, chocolate. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, liquorice, chocolate, burnt toffee, charr, roasted bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Okay but lacking depth of flavour for the ABV.

Keg at The Hope, Carshalton. Aroma is sweet, liqour. Molasses. Slightly sour edge. Medium bitter. Espresso. Sweet boozy and fruit edge. Creamy chocolate. Gains bitterness. Medium bodied. Creamy. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice but not OTT.

Tap at Prague Beer Fest 2024. Blackish body, off-white head. Coconut and oaky notes in the aroma. Coconut-driven taste, nice smokey notes, if slightly beany, dry and bitter finish I guess. Better than the sum of its parts!
