Bottled at R5 Beer Lounge, Akureyri. Black, small head. Chocolatey nose with toffee and whiskey. Mid sweet with full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Toffee, milk chocolate and woody whiskey. Warming, mildly bitter finish. Rich and harmonious.

Tap @ Cafe Sara. Clear dark amber body without any head, it still looks amazing, almost a bit oily. Strong and delicious an aroma, lots of mark malt and dry fruit with smooth alcoholic whisky. Flavor is sweet dark malt, dry fruit, some wood, whisky and nice warming alcohol. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Solid, pure joy, whar a great sipper.

13/1/2023. Bottle at the Haderslebener pre-tasting. Courtesy of Henrik, cheers. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, liquorice. Quite sweet with light roasted bitterness. Medium to full bodied, creamy, soft carbonation. Enjoyed this.

Bottle. Very dark red brown, small light tan head. Heavy malty aroma, whisky too. Bittersweet malty flavour, some whisky there. Nicely balanced, flavourful.

On tap at Brewdog - Reykjavik, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out bright vanilla, a hint of liquorice, and rye whiskey. Flavour is rich and decadent, with gentle rye whiskey, a hint of vanilla, and light liquorice. Rich and complex, with a wonderful barrel character. Excellent.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Sweet-ish, caramel and chocolately, dark malty aroma, some BA support, notes of dark chocolate, dark caramel, some vanilla, a touch of treacle, yeasty fruity hints of dark berries, bramble, blueberry, some plum, plum wine, a spicy touch of sweet mustard. Taste is sweet, caramel and chocolately dark malty, slightly yeasty fruity, minimally woody, spicy, notes of dark caramel, dark chocolate, hints of dark berries, sweet mustard, some rye spiciness, some plum, plum wine, minimally tannic whiffs of oak. Viscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. Well balanced, harmonious, dangerously drinkable - very good.
