On tap at Guest Izakaya, Stockholm. Black with a medium tan head. Sweet with chocolate, mild dark malt, nuts, light coffee and notes of vanilla.

Op tap bij The Scrapyard. Zwarte kleur, romige beige-bruine kraag. Gebrande mout, umami, soyasaus, zwarte Engelse drop, chocolade, droog, vrij bitter, hazelnoten herkende ik niet hierin. Volle body, dik. Lekker.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 30A: hazelnut, chocolate / 20C). Can 44 cl - Batch L796 0905 (BBF 05.2025). AROMA: medium boozy hot alcohol aroma with a vinous quality. background of medium-low roasted malt, faint hazelnut and low chocolate. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. no head. TASTE: initial medium-high boozy and vinous hot alcohol, followed by medium chocolate. medium-low to low bitterness with a sweet balance. finishes dry due to high alcohol with some notes of chocolate. MOUTHFEEL: high body with a velvety texture. low carbonation. hot alcoholic presence. OVERALL: a flavoured imperial stout with too much alcohol presence and low hazelnut.
