Schatzi is a top to bottom Bavarian wheat beer. It smells and tastes like Bavarian wheat. You can taste some banana and clove mixed with citrus. The sourness perfectly balances with the full-bodied beer, which is caused by unfiltering. This beer is the result of complex fermentation, which makes the taste so balanced. It has the same strength as the blonde, blue-eyed waitresses at Oktoberfest.

On tap at Aznap, Budapest. Cloudy golden with medium white head. Sweetish, yeasty, touch of banana, light and somewhat bland.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Aroma is citrus, wheat, spicy yeast, clove, some ripe banana. Flavour is moderate sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body. Average Weizen.

Piana niska, szybko się redukuje do zera, w nosie przewaga estrów nad fenolami, w smaku cytrusowe. Bez rozpiski w stylu poniżej średniej.

Canned 330ml. -from Tesco Budaörs. Unclear pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, wheaty nose with whiff of banana. Wheaty, yeasty, light fruity and touch of banana with mild acidity in the finish.

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is wheat, mild spiciness some citrus and mild floral notes. Flavour is wheat, spices, some citrus and mild toffee. Quite thin palate.

Bottla via Hoppyness. Med-thin body, med-low carbonation. Could really use more bubbles. The character is truly weizeny, medium banana, lightly overripe. Light clove, slightly peppery. A bit doughy yeastiness too. Drinkable, good, but not great.

# 1078; 6/2018. Velmi dobrý pšeničný pivo s hezkou ovocnou chutí (banány, mango), kvasnicová, hřebíčková.

Tap at the Pražský Festival Piva 2019 (thanks midovark!). Hazy golden-yellow body, white head. Estery aroma, red apples and apricots, wheat malt, a phenolic touch. Lean taste, vanilla and cloves mostly. Not a wow, but quite okay!

A really nice example that’s true to the german style. Lots of the banana flavour, full bodied. good beer. MONYO BUDAPEST
