A super tasty Blonde Ale in the Continental style. Aromas of sweet malted barley and subtle fresh hops, making for a crushable, refreshing beer.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Cloin. Pours hazy gold with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds dry doughy bread, hints of lemon peel, hay. Light sweet flavor with some sourdough bread, light grassy bitterness, straw, rindy lemon. Light bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, with further dry biscuits, sourdough, lemon peel, grain husk. Great balance overall. Good beer.

Bottle at the level 42 tasting V1.5 05/04/16, from Beer Gonzo. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is light citric peel, floral notes, tangerine, bread dough, yeast esters. Taste comprises lemon rind, grain, bready, pear, straw, Belgian yeast esters, candied fruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a light spice kick. Decent Belgian affair.

Bottle. Nose has a hint of sour, earthy, herbal, slight fruity ester , peach. Taste is dry, earth, herbal, emerging banana, hint of mint, lime, slight grapefruit and pepper and lemon. The finish is bone dry and refreshing. Clearly follows in the way of the patersbier, and has more body. It’s a very nice drinkable blonde, which has lovely balance. 2021 as blonde. Nose is yeasty, dough, spice, citrus. Taste is yeasty, biscuit, wheat, herbal, very faint banana, spice, light citrus, grapefruit pith in the dry finish. My notes have a lot of similarities with the 2016 release it's not to be confused with. Suspect it is a very similar receipe.

Bottle, from Eebria. Lightly hazy gold. Minimal head. Nose has spicy, fruity, bready yeast. Taste is soft sweet. Gets dry, and turns fruity bitter. Foamy, soft mouthfeel. Bitterness comes through on the finish. Very tasty.

Bottle at Brauhaus. Appearance - golden with a decent headand a slight haze. Nose - lemon and banana. Yeast. Taste - more banana yoghurt stuff. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - like the patersbier good balance but lacking in depth.

Keg at Buxton Tap, Buxton, Derbyshire, Saturday 20th February 2016 in company of Dad, Pauline, Isobel and Berry. Hazy pale gold with a filmy white head. Another really good Belgian beer, a touch gassy, but soft in the mouth, sweetish, a little spice and vanilla combine, a really pleasant uncomplicated beer, its lovely. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

Cask, handpump at The Smithfield, Derby, Derbyshire 06.11.10 This pours mid gold with a white rim for a head and a light film. Described as a continental style beer, I considered it to be a fairly safe but tasty enough golden beer, some light citrus fruitiness, bitter and drying at the end. A6 A4 T6 P4 Ov13 3.3
