Bottled.Pitch black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is coffee, some roasted malts, chocolate, mild alcohol and some wooden tones with a bit not-so-sweet fudge. Flavour is toasted, some wooden, mild chocolaty with some alcohol and mild syrupy tones.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour, almost black, with lasting, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with caramel, tamarind, black bread, dark chocolate, brown sugar, pecan nuts and black coffee. Malty, roasted taste with notes of salty caramel, dried fruit, dates, black bread, dark chocolate, pecan nuts, treacle, black coffee, liquorice, black pepper and a generous cacao/coffee bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, quite sweet. Solid, well made, tasty and quite complex. Very nice.

Beige-pink head, irregular, over fully opaque red-shot black beer. Wood, cherries, the oats are already obvious in the nose, beeswax. Sharp-ish, again very fruity, cherryliqueur, wood. Black chocolate pralines with cherry ganache. Very well-bodied, long lasting flavours. The aftertaste becomes more dry-woody. Again a very well-made beer from Amager. I keep wondering where this cherryflavour (and pink head!) derives from, as there's no fruit or such in the ingredients' list.

Flaska från SB. 2017 vintage. Doft av banankaka och fruktcocktail med cognac. Mjuk rund rejäl kropp med smakbild som doften men med lite tjära och bitterchoklad i slutet som stramar upp smakbilden lite. Murrig och trevlig östvärmare. Gott

500 ml bottle, batch #1726, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 9.5%. Nearly black colour, large tan head. Aroma of moderately roasted malts, exotic woodwork and chocolate, some vinous hints too. Fairly sweet flavour with the same elements, also molasses and caramel, moderate but noticeable bittering hops.

Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma of plums, raisins, sherry, caramel, wood and mild brett. Pours almost black color with medium sized creamy light brown head, fair lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet and sour dried fruit and red wine, follows by sweet toasted malt with mild funky note, mouthfeel is alcoholic and mild spicy, while finish is moderate grassy bitter. Fully body, thick creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. The one that made me crooked...

Old Ale met kruidige wijntoetsen. Bitterzoet romig aroma. Verrassende smaakervaring.
