Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Oaky with coffee, syrup, chocolate, some roast, alcohol, vanilla, wood. Sweet and boozy, bit warming, sticky. Above medium body. Heavy. Nice.

Aus der Flasche im 2024-05 getrunken. Diese schwarze Bock erinnert mit seinem deutlichen Trockenfrucht-, Karamell und Getreidearoma an ein Barley Wine. Am Gaumen kommen süße Schokoladenaromen dazu. Der hohe Alkoholgehalt ist sehr gut eingebunden. Ein tolles Bier was man aber nur vorsichtig genießen kann.

0.33 l bottle from 'Just in Beer', bottled in November 2023. Black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Intensely sweetish-malty, gently roasty, slightly fruity and a bit boozy aroma of molasses, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, dark fruits and whisky. Heavily sweet, malty, gently roasty, slightly fruity and quite hot taste of molasses, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, vanilla, whisky and some dark fruits, followed by a very long, fairly roasty-bitter, boozy finish. Almost full-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely beer, very intense, great flavours, unfortunately the alcohol is far from well-hidden.
