Can from Gedeelde Vreugde. Hazy dark brown, thin, tan head. Intense peat, apothecary, green apple, stewed plum, dates, dried fig, tobacco, charred wood, bunt brown sugar, whisky. Taste has sweet date, fig & green apple in a toffee-like, brown-sugary malt body covered with notes of peat, green apple and something meaty-umami. Herbal hops in the finish, lingering dried fruits, quite medicinal, touch of wood and boozy peated whisky alcohol. Full body, oily texture, average carbonation. Very rough and intense, but enough complexity to enjoy.

33cl Blik. Diep donkerbruine kleur, dunne beige kraag.

Bottleshare at Chez Frog. Thanks to me for the can. Almost clear deep amber beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light and smooth palate, good fine carbonation. Rich caramel and toffee malts. A mild creamy sweetness. Good savoury whiskey, the peat is there but mercifully free of rubber. Some alcohol spice on the smooth semi dry finish.
