33cl Blik van De Bierkoning. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Flink wat gember en kaneel, kruidnagel, de peperkoek zit er goed in maar blijft voor mij binnen de lijntjes, vanille, gebrande mout, chocolade, kruidig-bittere finish. Medium body.

Gedronken tijdens het Nederlands Speciaalbier Festival in den Bosch. DIep donkerbruin bier met matig schuim. Aroma van bourbon. De smaak is zoet en pittig. Nasmaak is zoet en bitter.

Geprobeerd met LiekevdV, Inoven, SandervdL en Roelzie op het Nederlands Speciaalbier Festival 2023 in den Bosch. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van gember en kaneel. De smaak is vol, gember achtig en kaneel achtig.

0.33 l can from 'Rebelbeercans', canned in November 2022. Black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty, fairly herbal-spicy aroma of dark chocolate, licorice root, ginger, cinnamon and some coffee. Fairly sweet, malty, quite roasty, rather herbal-spicy taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice root, ginger, cinnamon, hazelnut and vanilla, followed by a long, fairly roasty-bitter finish. Full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very intense beer, quite roasty and full of christmas spices, great mouthfeel as well. Really tasty beer, probably not to everyone's liking though.
