Peroni Gran Riserva Puro Malto è caratterizzata da un aroma delicato con prevalenza di note di malto e fini note di luppolo aromatico. Inoltre il doppio processo di decozione con impasto a bassa temperatura, a cui viene sottoposta, le conferisce note peculiari di cereali tostati e spezie. La decisa presenza di amaro fine e non persistente compensa la dolcezza del malto, dando vita ad un prodotto di altissima qualità, amabile, dal sapore unico e facile da bere, ideale per esaltare il gusto dei piatti della nostra tradizione.

500ml bottle. Pours bright gold with a small head. Aroma is sweet, grainy straw. Taste is crisp and grainy. Some straw. Touch of egg on the finish.

Clear and clean golden color with a big lasting frothy head. Good lacing. Ok malty aroma with a decent intensity. Fine carbonation level. Ok bitterness. Quite refreshing. Crisp and clean. Malty and herbal flavor.

Bottle. Waitrose. Clear gold. Frothy, white head, collapses to a slim ring. Nose has sweetened cereal. Light sulphur. Hint of leafy hop. Taste is sweet. Wait a while and there’s a very light bitterness. Medium body. A bit clarty. Bright enough carbonation. Sticky sweet finish. Ok, but I’m glad this one was really well chilled. Might have got a bit tramp juice, otherwise.

500ml bottle; BB May 2019. Poured into an Augustijn chalice (twice) at home on 16th Jun 2018. Clean golden body, wispy head. Light malty aroma and semi-sweet malty taste, grainy maybe. Although it has a malty front there is a hop bitterness towards the finish. Not impressed.

Bottle from Waitrose and drunk at home. Clear gold colour deep gold lasting cream head. Decent premium lager I thought. Haven't had something like this in ages and I've rather missed having a premium lager. No bad flavours. Some decent lemon flavours, some ok pale malts. Decent lager.

Almost no foam and a very yellow colour on this thing. Smells of tin and perfume. Flavour is flowery hops, sugar, and a vague hint of fusel alcohol. Wet finish. I didn't find anything to like about this beer.

50cl bottle from Waitrose, Bracknell. A straw coloured pour with a fast fading white head; corn syrup aroma; slightly more full bodied and fruity in the mouth than standard Peroni, but also rather sweet and cloying.
