Can. 13.0% version. Near clear dark brown, small bubbly tan head that doesn't last. Light palate, fairly smooth and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation on the back end. Light dark malts bring a decent tangy chocolate, kinda 60% dark, 40% milk. Goes well with abundant coconut. Grapefruit comes through on the back end and, it tastes like pink grapefruit and, a tad candyish. Soft finish. It comes together and it works. Not sure it would but it does. A fairly unique pastry affair in my book.

Can. Small head with short duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich coconut, citrus, roast malt, chocolate, caramel and hops. Smooth dry finish.

330ml can as part of a delivery from Hoptimism. Dark, dark brown, opaque with a sizeable tan head. Dark chocolate in the aroma alongside the advertised pink grapefruit and toasted coconut. It's a bit weird, and probably would've been weirder if I hadn't known it was coming, and it's got a bit of a soapy character. Taste is a lot more balanced with a sweetness at the beginning falling to slightly more bitter grapefruit notes near the finish. A strange one, for sure, but I'd say it works quite well once you get used to it.

0.33 l bottle from 'Etre Gourmet', best before December 2026. Pitch black with a thin, foamy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, quite fruity aroma of grapefruit, dark chocolate, coconut, vanilla and hazelnut. Rather sweet, malty, quite roasty and gently fruity taste of dark chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla, coconut and grapefruit, followed by a medium long, quite roasty, rather bitter, minimally tart finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely fruity Pastry Stout, very saturating, perfect on a cold evening.
