Inspired by our use of Vic Secret hops rather than their trendier, galactic cousins; The Nielsen gets its name from Nielsen Park beach, the sandy underdog of Sydney, and one of our favorite summertime hangout spots.
Combining notes of syrupy pineapple and tart passionfruit resin, The Nielsen bathes you in scantily clad memories under euphoric night skies, surround by family - makeshift or not.

Can at home. Opaque golden pour with a white head. Citrus-forward hoppy pale with underlying grassy, herbal touches and a nice, thirst quenching bitterness and dry body. Round, well balanced, I could chug this all day.

33cl can at home. From Hops & Hopes. Poured clear and light golden in color. Pleasanty piney, resiny notes. Grapefruity bitter and mouthdrying. Pretty good body as well.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 24 Aug 2022) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, orange peel and resin. Malty, hoppy taste with crisp-bread, orange peel, grapefruit, resin and a generous citric/resiny bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Rich hop profile, quite bitter, still highly drinkable. Very nice.

Can from Sterk, Amsterdam, at home, 11th November 22. Pours a clearish golden. Aroma is grapefruit and citrus, some spruce. Taste is bitter and pithy, grapefruit is there, citrus pith and pine, long bitter linger. Great and one of my favourite Dutch breweries right now !

0.33 l can from 'Het Biermoment', best before August 2023. A little hazy, golden orange with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, very fruity, slightly resiny, gently floral aroma of mango, orange, passion fruit and some pine. Gently sweet, quite bitter, very fruity, rather resiny and slightly floral taste of orange, passion fruit, mango, pine and quite some grapefruit, followed by a short, fairly bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Very aromatic, has got quite some bite for 5.7% abv. Surprisingly bitter, overall quite good!
