Great beer. The additions are mild and so the whole thing is pretty awesome and nicely balanced. Gollem amstelstraat

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near opaque dark brown beer, decent, if short lived, bubbly tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine carbonation. Rich dark malts, fair dose of smooth but boozy dark chocolate. Well integrated nutty vibe. Back end brings rich ripe fruits, spicy with booze, not that obviously rum borne but nicely rich. Smooth and boozy finish leaves a nutty chocolate liqueur aftertaste. Rather spiffin!

Bottle, 375ml. A black to dark brown beer with a minimal sized dark beige head. Dark chocolate, nuts, some coffee and a touch of oats in the aroma. Maple syrup hints, some booze and brown sugar. It's full-bodied and lightly warming, sweet, with a very gentle bitterness. Dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and nuts in the flavor. Brown sugar and vanilla, bourbon and boozyness. Maple syrup too, but not sure I'd notice if it wasn't for the label. Hints of oak, and a quite distinct oat. Lasting finish. Quite intense. A pleasant one indeed, but perhaps a bit too sweet. 241027

Bottle at home, can't recall from which online peddler, 16/10/24. Black with a good sized khaki head. Nose is dark chocolate, hazelnut, touch of jammy berries, mellow roast, bourbon nip. Taste comprises decadent chocolate, light bourbon rip, vanilla, molasses, brown sugar coating, light spice, toffee fudge, Cadburys Fruit and Nut. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid pastry kit.
