This occasionally brewed straw-coloured ale is refreshing, yet full-bodied, with a floral and fruity character which delivers orange and stone fruit notes, along with undertones of pine.

Half pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Shakespeares Head. Wetherspoon Beer Festival, March 24. Clear amber-gold body, remaining white head, fair lacing. Moderate smell of floral fruits. Hints of orange and lemon to the taste profile followed by notes of citrus shells towards the finish. Pretty good. (London, 16.03.2024).

Cask at the Shakespeare's Head Spoons. Clear gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, a very mild dryness, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth and slightly thin pale malts but delivering the sweetness. Opus hops doing their English hop Orchard Fruits thing, soft pear melding well with soft pine. Whisper of apple. Styrian hops a tad harder to pick up, some leafy bitterness on the end. Nicely rounded fruity hop job.

Cask @ Piccadilly Wetherspoon, Manchester. Clear golden with a frothy-bubbly head and plastic glass. Has a stone fruit style floralness and lime with pear too - unexciting but strangely appealing.
