Olmost black with a brown head - Malt aroma with some roasted notes - Malt body with some roasted flavours and some bitterness - Malt flavours goes into the finish - This was nice

8-4-7-4-14 On tap @ Apollon, Bergen. Pours black, with a creamy mocha head. Aroma is roasted malts with coffee, leather and muscovado, as well as earthy minerals. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is roasted malts with bread, caramels, muscovado and coffee, with pleasant earthy minerals to balance it off.

750ml bottle, #2315, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Slowly declining fawn-coloured head. A deep ruby shade to a near-black body, spotty lacing. Inviting aromas of roasted malts with dark chocolate to the fore. Fine blended malty depth to the taste profile, dark chocolate, liquorice, dark caramel, earth, and dark bread supported by dried fruits with prunes coming through. Roasted bitter finish, mouthfilling. Nice evening sipper. (Tromsø, 18.05.2024).

YG 130424. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is rosted malt, coffee, chocolate,dust, licorice, alcohol. Easy drinkable beer.

Svart med beige skum. Lukter lakris , anis og kakao. Middels fylde. Smaker kakao, kaffe og noe blomster. Middels lang.

Bottle, 75cl. It's dark, dark brown to black in the glass, looks quite clear, and topped with a firm, finger-thick beige head. Some lacing. The aroma is on the dark side, with roasted malts, some notes of burnt malts, licorice and alcohol, a touch of dark dried fruit, dusty cellar and dark, bitter chocolate. Some coffee grit chiming in as the beer warms up slightly. It's full-bodied and quite smooth on the palate, mostly on the dry side, with a gentle carbonation and a very gentle warmth. Decent bitterness too. Roasted malts, coffee grit, dark chocolate and a light touch of burnt malts and charcoal in the flavor. Licorice, prunes, raisin and a touch of alcohol too. Lasting malt driven finish. Overall, a very pleasant beer, tasteful, quite complex, and dangerously easy drinkable. Might just have to buy a few more bottles for the summer evenings. 240412

On tap at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal. Black colour, tan head. Roasty aroma and flavour, fairly dry and "clean" flavour (no sugarbombs here!), hints of coffee and unsweetened liquorice, noticeable bittering hops. No surprises here - simply a well made Baltic porter.

Shared bottle at home. Pours black with beige head. Aroma of black coffee, caramel, some floral hop notes. Tastes slightly bitter with some sweetness. Medium bodied. Dry finish.
