An IPA for everyday drinking. A pale malt base gives a crisp mouthfeel that allows late addition and dry hops to come through with a punchy bitterness and a good deal of hop flavour in such a light beer.

Malts:Maris Otter
Hops: Magnum, Ella, Topaz, Simcoe, Ahtanum, Ekuanot

Can, bb 12.2016 (thanks fatphil). A gusher. Pours yellow with whiteish head. Aroma is fruity, citrus, mango. Flavor is sweet and bitter, citrus, lemon, sugar. Finish is dry and citric. Body is watery. Overall: ok, love the dryness.

Keg at The Pint Shop, Saturday 15th October 2016 Decent and pleasant fruity golden beer, nice little buzzy bitterness, there is a little bit of a tropical edge but more citrussy. It’s nice. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Handpull cask at the Royal Standard, Cambridge. Dark gold with an off-white head. Light grainy aroma with some hard citrus peel. Bitter taste with a hint of sweetness halfway through. There’s also a slight hint of butter in the bitterly astringent finish. Not overly keen on this but it’s certainly competent.

Navigation Tavern Spring Beer Festival 2016, Mirfield. My full notes on this beer were sadly lost when the Ratebeer app failed and deleted this and others stored in it shortly after trying this brew.

Mini keg from brewery shop. Golden colour with a white head. Light citrus aroma and taste. More session IPA or golden beer than American pale ale.

Cask at the three johns. Mostly clear golden coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Aroma is nice funky tropical fruit, nelson sauvin, apricot ams a little bit of tangy pineapple. Flavour is composed of light grains, hints of straw, pineapple, grape, funky cumquat. Palate is light, little grainy, moderate carbonation. Served a little too cold. Really solid.
