330mL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Plenty of bourbon and cognac barrels on the nose, along with cocoa and vanilla. Flavour has a very burnt character up front and permeating throughout, bourbon and cognac barrels coming through, though not particularly boozy; burnt coffee and vanilla beans as well. Minimal carbonation. I like the charred barrel expression, but the base beer feels like its missing something.

330ml bottle, many thanks to pictoman for this one. Shared with Finn. Slowly diminishing tan head, pitch black body, scattered lacing. Attractive cocoa-chocolate aromas, mid-dry. Fine dark malt-driven taste of grainy chocolate, cocoa, and vanilla bourbon, not overdone. Smooth, mid-sweet, slightly roasted, chocolate-cocoa finish. Well bodied and with nice sipper qualities. (Tromsø, 25.06.2023).

Gift from Pictoman. Thanks! Delt med Rune på Vervet. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum. Aroma av konjakk & bourbon. Smaken tørr. Lakris. Røstet malt. Passe bitter avslutning.

Bottle, tasting at Ryan's
Dark brown, close to black. Aroma of beef roast, mole, chocolate, light vanilla. Good malt base, biscuity, plenty of dark sugars, nice vanilla; warming alcohol. Still too much roast for me, but the rest is excellent.

330ml @ Ryan's. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: meaty base, sweetness, some barrel character. Taste: along the same lines, quite sweet. Barrel and vanilla are more noticeable in the taste. Overall: quite good, but I am still not convinced to buy it at the set price considering other options around.

The aroma is cognac, and a bit of bourbon. Toasty barrel notes, some dark sugars and burnt fruits. A bit of alcohol in the finish. Not bad.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Near black with small beige head. Light vanilla, mild bourbon and cognac. Overall, prefer the Uganada vanilla a touch more than the Papua New Guinea vanilla of Dimensional Phase (+0.1). Still needs more depth.
Heavy coffee, slight hazelnut, serious roast. Like it a lot as a sipper, thanks Ben L.!

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of bourbon barrels, subtle cognac, burnt cocoa, and a touch of vanilla. Flavour is full of burnt cocoa, lots of bourbon barrels, some cognac, and a touch of vanilla. Burnt cocoa, cognac and boozy bourbon on the finish. It's solid but a bit lacking in complexity.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with just a very light fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of dark caramel, vanilla, dark chocolate, soft bourbon and slick roasted malts. Rich flavors follow of same with a nice balance of sweet and bitter. And super nice/tasty without being over 12%.
