DOONICANS is a uniquely light, clean and refreshing beer brewed by Nuttycombe Brewery to raise a glass to the UK’s hardest working comedy-folk band The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican.
The band's anarchic blend of music and comedy isn’t watered down and neither is this, Nuttycombe’s first collaboration beer. Brewed with Melon hops, it’s light, clean and refreshing, and like brothers Scott, Björn and Alan themselves, brimming with amped-up fruity flavour… floral, grassy and herbal with strawberry, apricot, and a hint of pineapple too!

Cask at the Cross Inn, Kinver. Pours dull gold with a small head. Aroma is grassy straw and lemon. Taste is much the same, grassy straw and lemon. Quite simple but drinkable.

[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A pale amber pour with a loose white head; malty aroma with some fruit; berry taste with a biscuity malt body; and then a peppery bitterness to finish. A straightforward, tasty, golden ale.

Gravicask at The 14th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival 2022, Marquee Bar. Shared with Finn. Slightly hazy golden body, dotted spots on the glass, fragile white head. Moderate smell of herbal hops added by grainy moments. Has got some citrus, earthy malts, and berries to the flavour profile, not that well balanced. Dough fruity ending. Fair enough. (Nottingham 13.10.2022).

På Robin Hood Beer&Cider Festival 2022. Delt med Rune. Veldig lys gylden. Tilløp til bobleskumring. Nesten klar. Beskjeden vaniljearoma. Smaken syrlige bær. Tørr fruktig bitter avslutning.
