Reviewed from notes.
Can to nonic glass.
Appearance: black in the color with a one finger eggshell white foamy to semi-bubbly head that dissolved at a decent pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: coffee roastiness, earthy hints, cocoa powder, sweet grains
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a nice roasty to sweet quality; finishes dry, roasty and earthy
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; light smoothness but extremely dry along the tongue all the way through
Overall: an extremely dry stout. Good for what it is but I drank a lot of water after this beer.

16 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a pitch black color with a dark tan head and decent retention. Zero lacing. Very dark roasted aroma. Very dark roasted flavor too, with some faint coffee and molasses notes in the dry finish. Medium light weak body. Light carbonation. Light bitterness. Good, not great.

Draught @ The Hoptimist, Manhattan (Jan 2024). Inky black with a small frothy tan head that flops fast, dark chocolate aroma, high carbonation, medium bitter dark chocolate-mocha taste, thin body, long finish. A smooth Irish stout.

Chocolate malt, ash, and hay aroma. Dark brown with moderate light brown head. Mildly sweet chocolate malt, and mildly bitter dry hay and ash flavor. Okay body.

Roast and some coffee. Black pour without much head retention. Some muskiness. Light bitter end. Decent balance. Really not a lot going on here. Tap at Shelter.
