0.33 l bottle from the brewery's web shop, best before June 2026. Black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty aroma of milk chocolate, coffee and roasted hazelnut. Gently sweet, malty, quite roasty-bitter taste of milk chocolate, coffee, roasted hazelnut and some licorice, followed by a short, gently roasty-bitter, moderately dry finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Pleasant stout, definitely more interesting than the German represantative. But someone should have told them that Ireland hasn't qualified. Would have preferred a Scottish Ale instead.

Cremiger, herb-röstiger Beginn. Weich, etwas nussig, mit der Zeit trocken werdend. Süffig, mittellanger Abgang, gut trinkbar. 9/7/9/9/9/9

Bottle picked up from Globus, Plattling and consumed at home Thursday 30th May 2024 listening to Emily Pilbeam standing in for Huw Stephens on 6Music it's Round Table tonight, cooking Pork and Lemongrass Meatballs with Rice and a Thai Sauce. Pours extremely dark brown not quite black but very close. Some bitterness, a little bit dry but there is an initial brief sweetness. Woody slightly burnt elements, a touch fruity, a bit of chocolate, good.

0,33 l bottle. Pitch black in the glass with a more than one finger beige foamy head. Roasty aroma with milk choco and some coffee. Taste starts roasted malty, short section with berryfruity elements. Lactose and pale grain, nuts. Above average carbonation a stout. I expected and prefere a more oily texture.
