Black with a small beige head. Boozy with strong chocolate & coffee followed by vanilla & marzipan. Long finish. full body.

Black, unstable brown head. Smell is heavy coffee, bit of green pepper, some roasty malts. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, but does linger well. Taste has plenty of coffee, nicely roasty and bitter, with some light sweetness at the back. Damn good for its age.

Nice brown head. Intensive aroma of chocolate, coffee, caramel, dried plums, toffee. Taste of chocolate, coffee, caramel, dried plums. Low carbonation, full body. Medium bitterness. Alcoholic finish. Tasty one.

Actual cask (!) @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival, July 2018. Pours black, cream-coloured head. Big chocolate nose, Taste presents thick layered coffee, dark malts, chocolate, port. Intense stuff and a delight to have from cask.

8 4 8 4 16 Draft at Uiltje Bar. Black with a beige head. Aroma of coffee, licorice, dark chocolate, toffee and roast. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

330ml bottle from the brewery. Jet black with a minimal off white head. Coffee and chocolate aroma, flavour has coffee, leather, fruit cake, alcohol warmth and a bitter, spicy finish

Draught @ Molen Brouwcafé. Black color. Dense beige to light brown head with long retention. Aroma's: Chokotoff, dark caramel, sweet coffee, dark chocolate. Retronasal it's dark toffee, caramel, sweet coffee. Flavor is moderate sweet, roasted, with light coffee sourness. Medium bodied. Long finish with roast, light sour, moderate bitter.
