YG 271024. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, yeast. Flavor is roasted malt, sourness, caramel, yeast, chocolate, nuts, pine. OK beer.

Bottle. A huge off-white head leaves fluffy curtains over a murky brown body. Roasted malts, dark chocolate and cocoa powder on the nose, with some dark dried fruit hints. It's medium bodied and semi dry on the palate, with a bit heavy carbonation. The flavor is lightly nutty and with a good bitterness, else it's the same roasted malts and dark chocolate found in the aroma. Quite long finish, where the dark chocolate it's more like cocoa than chocolate. Some vague metallic hints too. A quite decent one, but a bit messy. 241027

Bottle @ Thorbjørnsrud hotel. Unclear deep golden body under a huge, creamy tan head. It actually takes a while to be able to taste some beer through this massive foam head. Mild aroma, chocolate, nuts and salty caramel. Taste is medium sweet caramel malt, chocolate, hint of nuts and caramel, slightly fruity with moderate bitterness. Medium body with refreshing chocolate (!) aftertaste. Quite decent for a 4,5 5 ABV brown ale.

330ml bottle, #0211, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Hamar. Shared with Leif L. Big, creamy, off-white head leaving spotty lacing on the glass, cloudy brownish body. Moderate aromas of nut shells and caramel malts. Brown malty flavours, caramel and nuts together with a backdrop of chocolate. Dark malt-driven end. Satisfying. (Airbnb, Hamar, 07.01.2023).

Notater fra det årlige RBHD-treffet hos Bryne, hvor vi som vanlig ble solid oppvartet. 0,33 flasker: mørkebrun kobber med fint skum som varte. Ristet brød, mørke bær, gjær, knekkebrød. Savner maltdybde, dette er vandige saker.
