Bottle shared with the crew in London. Pours deep brown with a creamy, beige head. The nose has chalky cocoa, moderate roast. Medium to heavy sweet flavour with more rich chocolate, sugary dark malts, mellow earthy bitterness, some raisins. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary finish with light alcohol warmth, some scorched earth, baking cocoa, burnt toast. Enjoyable.

Bottle shared at the flat in Warsaw. A opaque dark brown coloured pour with a lasting halo tan head. Aroma is sweet jammy fruits, madeira cake, orange rind,. Flavour is composed of, brown sugars, maple, dark choc. Jammy fruit.. Palate is medium sweet, highish carbonation . Good stuff.,

Butelka 330ml (BB 13.10.2018). Czarne, nieprzejrzyste z drobnym kozuszkiem bezowej piany. Aromat czekoladowy, palony z wyraznym akcentem chmielowym choc wg mnie nie wspolgra ze soba najlepiej. Palone, nieco czekoladowe, lekko gryzace i alkoholowe w smaku, porzadnie nachmielone na goryczke az brakuje kontry slodowej choc slodycz jest spora na finiszu, zwlaszcza po ogrzaniu. Troche brak mu ulozenia i wypadaloby polezakowac ale z drugiej strony akcentem ma byc chmiel a ten najlepiej na swiezo wiec pojawia sie paradoks. Fajna oleista tekstura jak w wersji bazowej ale reszta nieco odstaje, niemniej caly czas to dobry ris.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily and soft. 040317

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. NIce head with good duraiton. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, vanilla, wood, caramel and hops. Nice and smooth. Dry bitter finish.

Barwa niemal czarna, znikome przebłyski, piana beżowa, umiarkowanie obfita, bez lacingu. W aromacie czekolada, trochę alkoholu, ciut kawy. W smaku czekolada, paloność, kawa, trochę nut likierowych. Goryczka średnia, nieco palona i alkoholowa, sam alkohol średnio ukryty, wysycenie niskie, treść nieco poniżej średniej. Solidny RIS i w zasadzie tyle, niczego nie urywa, jak na wersję American brakuje przede wszystkim nut amerykańskich chmieli i bardziej konkretnego charakteru. Niemniej jednak piwo całkiem przyzwoite.
