On keg at Brewdog Lothian Rd, Edinburgh. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - huge boozy note, like rum or bourbon. Sorry haven't read the spec. Taste - molasses and burnt bread. Honey and molasses. Palate - rich and tangy. It's very sweet though. Tangy sweet more than bitter finish. Overall - closer to dry stout than milk stout. This is challenging.

Bottle from Beerhawk. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, coffee on the nose. Tastes roasty, malty, chocolate, coffee, some dark fruit with a lingering bitterness. Decent enough stout.

Opaque brown beer, thick beige head. Smells sweet and malty. In the mouth it's a big rich stout, slightly lively, with earthy malt, lactic sweetness, a little hoppy. A little like a black IPA. Whatever you call it it's very nice. Love a To Ol.

12 ounce bottle from John's. Pours a pitch black color with a small beige head. A big dark fruit nose, very solid aroma. A big flavorful beer, initially huge dark fruit, tastes huge, dry cocoa, lactose. Damn good. So smooth.

Aus der Flasche 2015-12 getrunken. "Süß" soll dieses Stout sein? Naja! Ich finde es ist ein sehr gut balanciertes, leichtes Imperial Stout. Ein tolles Bier!

330ml bottle. Pours almost black with a huge tan head, great retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, milk chocolate. Taste of sweet milk chocolate, roast malts, fruity hops, bitter hop finish is almost black IPA like, quite well balanced in that respect. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carb. Lovely.

Opaque dark brown beer, decent tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth and mellow dark malts, some light tang. Thin dark chocolate and thin dark malt creamy sweetness. A mild roast bitterness counterpoint. Light tangy fruits and a little stewed tea! Light dry finish. Okay.
