Fra fat på Ølhallen. Kullsort. Skum med litt farge. Flater ut. God aroma av sjokolade & kaffe. Oljeaktig munnfølelse. Smaken er søt sjokolade, lakris & kaffe. Fin balanse. Svakt syrlig bitter avslutning. God stout!

On tap @ Cardinal. Black body with a moderate sized, long lasting beige head. Relatively mild but very nice aroma of dark malt, coffee and dry fruit. Very balanced in flavor, just sweet enough with medium roasted dark malt, coffee, dry fruit and quite bitter. Fine body with a long and smooth aftertaste. Very pleasant. The aftertaste had a distinct hint of Brett, don’t know if this is by intention but it really match the flavors right now.

On tap at Øltorget, Vulkan. It pours a next to black body under a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma has mostly coffee, with some orange peel and roasted malts and chocolate. Coffee-bitter flavor with some alcohol notes, coffee and some dark chocolate and roasted malts. Full-bodied and velvety, semi-sweet on the palate. Nice carbonation, some alcohol warmth. Lasting finish with roasted malts, coffee and some pine cones. Perhaps a bit warming this one, but damn tasteful. 140503

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pitch black colour, large and creamy tan head. Strong roasty aroma, with distinct notes of coffee, hints of leather and woodwork. Dry and roasty flavour, again strong notes of coffee. Not bad, but a little more complexity would not hurt.

Lindheim tasting at Håndverkerstuene. Black with a minimal beige head. Intense and truly dominating coffee aroma. Lots of freshly brewed coffee, not much other aromas noticable. Moderate sweet with delicious coffee flavours and a balanced bitterness. Amazing coffee beer! Simply delicious!
