Imperial Red Ale Barrel Aged 4 Years In Nuit-Saint-Georges Barrels. 8.3%
Minotaure is a deep ruby red ale with a vinous nose and subtle notes of caramel, leather and cherries. Complex, old and wiser than we are!

Clear deep amber to red purple brown beer, practically no head. Aroma: woody, a bit oxidized, tannins, earthy, tobacco, orange peel, funky, brett. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very oxidized, slightly sourish, alcohol, lots of madeira, more oxidized, dusty, pretty nutty, bitter touch, some cardboard, musty, dried orange peel. Aftertaste: more oxidation, bitter, dry, spicy, tannins, some alcohol, earthy, tobacco, more cardboard.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy re d copper to amber, beige head. Aroma: Vinuous, some tartness, tart red and dark fruit, caramel, leather. Taste: Vinuous, oak wood, some vanilla, strawberry and tart cherry notes, red wine, floral notes, notes of wine gums, subtle caramel and leather. Moderate tart, light sweetness and moderate bitterness. Can't remember I've tasted a beer with similar taste before. Not your average Flanders Red, but I wouldn't know a better matching style for this beer except from Flavored Wild Ale maybe. Quite hard to describe, a lot of flavors to explore. Nice complexity. Just below medium body, below average carbonation. Nice fruity slow sipper.
