0,375 flaske fra Statens postordrekatalog, hjemme i ro og mak (lenge leve hedonismen!): lett uklar rødlig kastanjefarge med ok skum. Fiken, sviskeplommer, noe sherryaktig, muligens litt fusel. Virkningsfull uten å være eventyrlig.

375 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11%, hops are Magnum and EKG. Moderately hazy deep reddish brown colour, small and thin off-white head. Aroma of malts, molasses, fusel, red berries, oak and bourbon. Soft and warming mouthfeel. Sweet and boozy flavour, with the same elements as the aroma, the notes of molasses, oak and bourbon are quite distinct.

Bottle. An unclear brown beer with an orangey hue and some off-white bubbles on top. Rather still. The aroma is slightly oxidized, with roasted malts, toffee, some generic dark dried fruit, dark bread and alcohol. It's full-bodied, ligthly warming and smooth on the palate, with a good dash of sweetness and some bitterness. Toffee, caramel, dark bread and dried fruit in the flavor, with a good dash of oxidation and some booze. Some oak, tannins and dark chocolate showing up in the finish. A bit rough this one, lacking on smoothness, complexity and drinkability. 220518
