Bottle. An almost still one, hazy, and copper colored. No head. Alcolhol, oak, toffee, dark bread crust, dark dried fruit and some piney hops in the aroma. It's full-bodied and warming, sweet, with a good bitterness. Caramel, dark bread crust, dark dried fruit, pine cones and alcohol in the flavor. Oak and some vanilla. Lasting finish. A bit rough this one, but nice anyway. Would probably benefit from some carbonation too. 240125

Bottle. Unclear golden/amber body under a dense off-white head. Strong aroma of malt, dry fruit and slightly perfumed, warming alcohol. Taste is sweet malt, dry fruit, mild toffee, warming alcohol, smooth Bourbon, some wood and balancing bitterness. Fine body and long lasting warming aftertaste. A really nice, quite classic American barley wine that feels a bit boozy in the start but ends very smooth and likable. The Bourbon part is well integrated and feeling smoother and smoother down the bottle.
