Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Black colour, no head and aroma of chocolate, malt, christmas cake, fruity, liquorice. Taste is sweet, rich malty, dark chocolate, fruit cake, dark fruits, coffee, with roasty bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, light carbonation, mellow roasty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

1/6/2024. Bottle at Prague GP beer share. From CentrAle, Newcastle. 10.0% abv. Pours black with a small frothy/creamy tan coloured head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, nut, liquorice, dark fruits, hint of coconut. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium to full body, very smooth and creamy mouthfeel, average to soft carbonation. Very nice.

Bottle picked up at the brewery. Pours viscous dark brown. No head. Looks ominous. Dark chocolate caramel truffle. Slick rich and chewy. Loads of depth. Viscous and nicely drinkable. Bitter finish rounds up well. Great stuff.

Many thanks to Graham for this discovery. Bon imperial Stout.
